Rodney

Rodney (all of his friends call him 'Rod' but I won't go there...) is a hot little gymnast boy. I hadn't met him but for two minutes before he was doing the splits right in front of me.

I thought to myself, "Now this is going to be interesting!"

He's a college guy and he claims that he hasn't done gymnastics in a while. I think he's actually currently on a collegiate team and didn't want to let on for fear that doing dirty films might interfere. Just my opinion.

Video work with this guy was a breeze. We had him in the park, smiling and doing backflips. We had him in the SUV, smiling and showing off his balls. We had him in the studio, smiling and doing... well, splits.

Oddly enough, though, once the still camera came out the smile disappeared. He got this worried "deer-in-the-headlights" look every time I held the camera up to shoot.

"OK, relax your face and give me a smile," I told him. Click. What I got looked like a cheesy high school yearbook photo.

"No, you're doing great but just relax and give me a nice little smile." Click. Another uncomfortable grin.

So I stopped and asked him why he wasn't comfortable with the camera. Turns out he's one of those hot guys who doesn't know he's hot and has never been comfortable having his picture taken. Go figure.

So we did some face exercises (really!) and finally got a cocky, boy-next-door look that worked for him.

At any rate, his flexibility is pretty darn impressive and I'm really, really hoping that we can put it to good use!

In order to play Quicktime files, you must use the Quicktime Player, which is available for both Windows and Macintosh. Quicktime version 7 or higher is required.

This Quicktime movie is encoded with H.264 / AAC, which uses the latest innovations in compression technology to provide incredible video and audio quality.

You can download a Quicktime movie by selecting one of the sizes above. The following sizes are available:

Small - 320 x 180 frame size. File size: 33 MB

Medium - 480 x 270 frame size. File size: 64 MB

Large - 640 x 360 frame size. File size: 125 MB

X-Large - 960 x 540 frame size. File size: 237 MB

Once you click on a size, the file will begin downloading to your computer. Depending on your system configuration and browser, your media player may launch automatically and begin playing the movie. If the movie does not begin automatically, you can press the Play button on your media player.

Downloading is progressive, which means that you can only view that portion of the file that has been downloaded. Once the file is fully downloaded, however, you can move through the movie arbitrarily by moving the progress bar slider on your media player.

Downloading is progressive, which means that you can only view that portion of the file that has been downloaded. Unlike streaming, you cannot fast forward or rewind a movie. Once the file is fully downloaded, however, you can move through the movie arbitrarily by moving the progress bar slider on your media player.

Streaming

The streaming format is only available for Windows users. If you are on a Macintosh, you will need to use the "Downloads" format instead.

The streaming format is available in two different speeds:

256K - This speed is best for slower connections, such as dial-up connections.

512K - This speed is best for broadband (DSL and cable modem), T1, and other high-speed connections.

Streaming a movie allows you to fast forward, rewind, or move to any point in the movie by using the controls of your media player.

To begin streaming a movie, simply click one of the speeds following the "Streaming:" label, above.

If the movie stops and starts or frequently rebuffers, that means that your connection is not fast enough to support the speed you have chosen. In that case, you can select a slower speed.
